my sadness for Moore's passing shall diminish, yes, but be assured that it shall also double in complexity every 1.5 to 2 years.

A friend applied for a job with Intel right out of college. He made it to an interview with Gordon Moore. It went on for over an hour, and reduced him to jelly. When he stumbled out, the security guard at the door asked him how he did. He said "terrible". The guard said, "Well, you lasted way longer than anyone else, so there's that".
He didn't get a with Intel, but did with Motorola.
