You can simply drag and drop the file LBOULD.BAT over the DOSBox icon to start playing. Experienced DOSBox users may choose other methods of startup. !!! IMPORTANT !!! Lomax Boulders requires DOSBox to set EMS emulation to EMM386 to work. This is not a supported feature in the official DOSBox build v0.74-3 available from www.dosbox.com. Lomax Boulders will NOT work with this version of DOSBox. You will need a newer SVN build of DOSBox (based on updated code from the official repository) that enables EMM386 emulation. This build is available from the DOSBox ECE website (please scroll down to the bottom of the page): https://dosboxece.yesterplay.net/ If you use the supplied LBOULD.BAT file to start the game, it will switch to EMM386 emulation automatically, but you can also change this setting manually: Open your DOSBox SVN configuration file in a text editor of your choice and find the following line: ems=true Change this to: ems=emm386 Save and close the configuration file. Note that other games might not need EMM386 or not support it, so you'll need to revert to the default ems setting manually. However if you use the LBOULD.BAT method, DOSBox will only switch to EMM386 for the duration of playing Lomax Boulders. This distribution of Lomax Boulders may or may not work with other third-party DOSBox versions that are available. ============================================================================== * Game related websites * Publisher website (access via the Wayback Machine): http://www.lomaxsoft.simplenet.com/boulders/boulders.htm NOTE: Some sites are only available as copies made by the Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.org/ ============================================================================== * Disclaimer * THE GAME DATA IN THIS ARCHIVE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING AND NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
