You can simply drag and drop the file 1939D.BAT over the DOSBox icon to start playing. Experienced DOSBox users may choose other methods of startup. The software was configured and tested to work with the official DOSBox build v0.74-3 available from www.dosbox.com. It may or may not work with any other third-party DOSBox distributions that are available. The demo comes with an electronic manual (1939MAN.LT2), which is in the Polish language. ============================================================================== * Game controls * The game can be played either with the mouse or keyboard. First, you need to issue orders to your units. Select a unit with the left mouse button, and an area around it will be darkened, showing the tiles where the unit may move. You can then either drag the mouse or press the keys on the keyboard (better to use the numeric keypad) to set a movement path for the selected unit (red arrows should appear on the screen showing where the unit will go). When all orders have been issued, you can press F1 to preview the resulting positions of your units. If something feels not right, you can cancel the orders for any unit and lay out a different route. End your turn by pressing Enter. You will receive battle reports at the start of the next turn, press R to view and then the plus and minus keys to cycle through available reports (if contact with the enemy occurred in that turn). You can change game speed by pressing F2 and then using the plus and minus keys to adjust the speed slider. Press Esc to confirm your settings. To end a scenario and exit to the main menu, press Ctrl+Q. ============================================================================== * Disclaimer * THE GAME DATA IN THIS ARCHIVE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING AND NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
