Weenie Golf is the ONLY golf game (as of the initial release, anyway) with the word Weenie in its title. We here at CGS are very proud of this fact, and so that's our major selling point here. Anyway, about the game. What is it, you ask? Well, simply put, it's a golf game with the features you probably wouldn't expect to see on a golf course, but hey, this is Colin Gagnon Software. What's what you get. Among the more interesting features are time holes and rubber bands. A good time is to be had by all. 2) What do I need to run Weenie Golf? Um, well, letsee. You need a 286 computer or higher, 640 K of RAM, uh.... a VGA monitor or better... a keyboard connected to the computer... The monitor should be connected too... MS-DOS 3.3 or higher. Yeah, I think that's it. 3) Well, how do I start the program? You moron! Don't you understand DOS? Gee whiz! Do I have to explain EVERYTHING to you? Yes? Oh, alright. If you say so. Ok. Are you listening? Good. Better get out a pencil and paper, because this is really tough. First, unzip the file. But you already did that, so never mind. Second, type GOLF You may need to change to a new directory first, but it's pretty simple, understand? No? Geez.... If you're running Windows 3.x, quit to DOS, and play the game from there. If you're running Windows 95, you can either 1) kill yourself, 2) reformat your hard drive, and reinstall DOS, or 3) play the game without doing either of the above. Personally, I think option 2 is a good choice, but most people don't agree with me. Weirdos. 4) Ok, I'm here. Now how do I play? Alright. You hear that nifty theme song? It's The Bear Went Over The Mountain. Isn't that nice? Anyway, press a key, and you'll be at the menu screen. Select Registration. Now read that nice little commercial, and press a key when you're done doing that. Read the instructions (if you must), and then select New Game. Select your course, and press Enter. Simple, huh? When asked to select a direction for the ball to travel, use the arrow keys. When asked to select a ball speed, press the spacebar when it reaches the level of force with which you want to hit the ball. When asked to bang your head against the wall, remove any head coverings, and slam your head against the nearest wall, table, or any other large, hard, flat object. 5) Well, I'm soooo glad you feel that you have the right to abuse me like that. Are you aware that I have a lawyer? Hey, now. I was kidding! No, really! 6) Well, I'm soooo glad you feel that you have the right to abuse me like that. Are you aware that I am a lawyer? The check's in the mail. Would I lie to you? 7) So how can I pay you for this marvelous game, Mr. Gagnon? Shareware is a unique concept of trying software before you buy it. It may be freely copied and distributed, but if you enjoy and plan to continue using the programmer, you are asked to register, or pay for it. Becuase the money you send to the author is not simply paid to them in the form of a royalty, shareware programs can cost considerably less than a commercial product of the same, or, sometimes lesser value. Weenie Golf is shareware. If you purchased it from a vendor other than Colin Gagnon Software, you should be aware that the author has recieved no money for his efforts. That is why it is incombent upon you to register. To register Weenie Golf, just send a check for $10 U.S. to: Weenie Golf Registration Colin Gagnon Software 408 Pine St. Stoughton, WI 53589 Upon registration, you will recieve a registered version of Weenie Golf, along with several new courses, and AND and demos of our newest games.
