HELP.TXT 13/4/97 For game instructions, read INSTRUCT.TXT This text file will attempt to help you with any problems that you have while trying to run Enigma. There are two main things to try if the game fails to run: 1 Make sure there is a mouse driver runing and the mouse has been plugged in. 2 Try running INSTALL.COM and selecting "NO SOUND". There have been a few problems reported about the sound not working. If the game fails to run, try removing the sound altogether. If there are further problems, you could try removing any memory managers you have. The game cannot be run from CD because Enigma has to write to files during setup. If you have an old machine, try finding a newer mouse driver as we have found some problems with older versions of some mouse drivers. The game MAY conflict with Windows or windows 95, however I have tested it and it works fine on both. Remember, if the sound does not work with your machine in the shareware version, there will still be no sound when you register. We are sorry about this but we are unable to support some sound cards. All the .GEC files in the Enigma directory should not be Write protected, if they are you should change them to non write protected. END
