This software is fully installed and configured to run in the DOSBox emulator.
You can simply drag and drop the file HELIMI.BAT over the DOSBox icon to start
playing. Experienced DOSBox users may choose other methods of startup.

!!! IMPORTANT !!!

Please DO NOT use heli-brw.bat to run the game! This is a special file for the
browser version of DOSBox.

The software was configured and tested to work with the official DOSBox build
v0.74-3 available from www.dosbox.com. It may or may not work with any other
third-party DOSBox distributions that are available.

For playing instructions and other information, please refer to the built-in
help section available from the main menu (in German).

Helicopter Mission can be played wither with the keyboard or a joystick.

Arrow up        : fly forward/accelerate
Arrow down      : decelerate/reverse
Left arrow      : turn left
Right arrow     : turn right
Alt + down arrow: take off/increase altitude
Alt + up arrow  : decrease altitude/land
Space bar       : drop cargo
P               : pause game
K               : switch to keyboard control
J               : switch to joystick control (if available)
Esc             : abort mission
0               : exit game

The game was distributed for free as a promotional/recruitment tool for the
German armed forces (Bundeswehr). Advertisements in German computer magazines
included coupons that readers could send to get a free copy of the game on a
floppy disk in a plastic case, complete with user manual.

Copies of the game were also distributed on magazine coverdisks.
