Quickhack

Created for the Ludum Dare #38: "A Small World"

Quickhack is a simple dungeon crawler created for ZZT with the goal of cramming
all gameplay onto a single board. This is a challenge both because of the
physical board dimensions (60x25) as well as ZZT's restrictive memory limits.
(Approximately 20KB of memory is available to a board, and runtime errors can
happen if that limit is pushed too far)

The game features three playable classes, each with their own playstyles. I have
done my best to try and reasonably balance them out. Which class works best for
your play style is something to experiment with.

Apologies in advance for the hassle in actually playing this. It's made with
ZZT, an MS-DOS game from 1991. ZZT has a rich history of game jams within its
community with traditional 24 Hours of ZZT competitions and Weekend of ZZT
events. The Ludum Dare is a great way to get back into those days since past.

Here is what you'll need to run ZZT and Quickhack on a modern computer:

1) Dosbox - Unless you can run MS-DOS applications natively
Download it from http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1

2) ZZT - This is a ZZT World so you'll have to run it through ZZT.
You can get it at http://zzt.org/zgames/z/zzt.zip

3) Run ZZT.EXE, select Keyboard/Color. Press W to open the world list
and from there, pick RUINS.

4) Press P to play! More detailed help and instructions are provided
within the ZZT World itself.
