DOS Puzzle game from John Stephens, Subha Ghoshal from 1992.
Self-published
1992
Notrus is a Tetris variant with nice visuals and diverse backgrounds. The basic rules are the same as in the original Tetris, and there are no new extra piece types that can be found in some other variants. A new game mechanic introduced in Notrus is that clearing four lines simultaneously awards a 'NOT' -- a notch is marked near the lowest line on the playing field. If more 'NOT's are obtained by the player, they are added to the lines next from the bottom up. The effect is that the player can clear the lines marked with a 'NOT' at any time by pressing Enter. If the playing field fills up, any available 'NOT's will be used automatically to open up more space for further tetromino pieces.
Description by MrFlibble
The game is played with the numeric keypad. To rotate a piece, press 5. If this key does not work while playing online in browser, please consider downloading the game and playing in a local copy of DOSBox.
This section tracks other objects or external resources.
The external resources, such as tarballs or Git repositories, are then available as part of the object. Their files can be considered local to the object and usable in scripts or as part of a build process.
For resources that are only to be used as part of the build or runtime of the object, it is best to describe those local to those sections.
This section tracks information useful to describing how to run this object.
