Airlift Rescue is a fan conversion of the Apple II/Atari game Choplifter. The player controls a helicopter and is is tasked with retrieving hostages from enemy territory to return them to the US embassy. Enemy ground and air forces are out to stop this rescue operation. The helicopter is armed with a chaingun and can pick up to 16 hostages out of a total of 64. The mission is to bring back as many as possible, but watch out for enemy fire. After the first sortie, you will need to break open the buildings where the hostages are being held. Airlift Rescue was released as freeware.

Use the arrow keys to move the chopper around, Ctrl to change direction and Space bar to fire the gun. When the chopper faces the screen it can shoot directly downwards, allowing to destroy tanks on the ground.
