DOS Arcade game from Thomas & Leandro Productions from 1998.
Self-published
1998
Commander Pang is a simple Pang clone that uses graphics from the Commander Keen series of games. The player's goal is to clear the screen of the bouncing balls by shooting a vertical line that pops any balls that come into contact with it. Large balls split into pairs of smaller ones, and the smallest balls disappear when popped. All balls must be removed before the countdown timer reaches zero to move on to the next stage. The game has a single-player mode with progressively more difficult levels (accessible by passwords, console-style), and a "Panic" mode where the player is assaulted by the ever growing numbers of balls without any time limit. Commander Pang was written in QuickBasic.
Description by MrFlibble
If the game runs too slowly in DOSBox (including the play-in-browser version), press Ctrl+F12 repeatedly to increase the amount of emulated CPU cycles to around 12,010 for comfortable play.
