DOS Platform game from George M. Tzoumas from 1997.
Self-published
1997
The Secret of the Pyramid (also known as RA after the game executable) can be best described as a Pharaoh's Tomb fangame. The player controls an adventurer who sets off deep into the pyramid (apparently) in search of treasure, and must avoid all manners of deadly traps and inescapable pits in order to succeed. Each room/level is exactly one screen large and has a locked door, for which the key must be retrieved to progress further. The game is rather puzzle-like as the player needs to carefully plan the adventurer's moves, so as not to end up in an inescapable pit (some contain diamonds so be careful to to be lured into a trap by them). At the same time, good timing is required to make jumps and avoid the traps. The game was released as freeware by its author, along with the source code in Turbo Pascal.
Description by MrFlibble
Press Left and Right Shift to go left or right, respectively, and Space bar to jump. If you get stuck, you can press K to restart the level, but this will subtract one life.
This section tracks other objects or external resources.
The external resources, such as tarballs or Git repositories, are then available as part of the object. Their files can be considered local to the object and usable in scripts or as part of a build process.
For resources that are only to be used as part of the build or runtime of the object, it is best to describe those local to those sections.
This section tracks information useful to describing how to run this object.
