Fantasy Forest is a platform game rather similar to Rayman that was made to promote the Toffifee® brand of candy popular in Germany. The player character, dressed in an outfit vaguely resembling German traditional clothing (complete with a feather hat), must navigate an enchanted forest to rescue his friends who were taken away by a nasty magician. Hostile monsters can be dealt with by throwing pine cones at them, which can be collected in the level or purchased in a fairy shop in exchange for Toffifee® candies. Other items include health points (hazelnuts), extra lives and powerups like jumping boots. Freeing imprisoned fairies from cages serves as mid-level save checkpoints.
