=Growing up=
by:
hax shannon
=about=
this is a little game about trying to get out of the house to go on a walk.
=a lil how-to=
If you're unfamiliar with ZZT, below is my attempt to provide a quick how-to for setting it up. Remember that google/youtube tutorials are also your friend!
=step 1.=
download zzt. you should download version 3.2 from here:
http://zzt.org/versions/
after upzipping, make sure that the folder goes in your C drive for windows users, or in the home/user folder for mac users.
=step 2.=
download dosbox: http://www.dosbox.com/
whichever version you need.
=step 3.=
make sure that the .zzt file for growing up ("grwnup.zzt") is in the zzt file you downloaded earlier.
=step 4.=
run dosbox
(dosbox does a thing for me where if you click anywhere inside the window, your cursor will go away. just type 'exit' a bunch until it closes to get out of it if this happens.)
if you are using windows type the following commands:
mount c c:\zzt
c:
zzt
if you are using a mac type the following commands
mount c ~/zzt
c:
zzt
That will open zzt! Press K for keyboard, C for color. To open growing up, or any other rad zzt game you can now play, press W and select it from the list that pops up. (if a game is not there, double check to make sure it is in the zzt folder, and if it is, try just closing dosbox and starting over)
also check out the board editor for making your own little games!
=thanks a bunch=

This section tracks other objects or external resources.
The external resources, such as tarballs or Git repositories, are then available as part of the object. Their files can be considered local to the object and usable in scripts or as part of a build process.
For resources that are only to be used as part of the build or runtime of the object, it is best to describe those local to those sections.
