DOS Arcade game from Eclipse from 1996.
Self-published
1996
Greedy is an enhanced remake of Pac-Man, with nice high-resolution graphics, dynamic soundtrack and 60 different levels. While the basic playing mechanics stay the same -- eat dots of "gum" while avoiding ghosts that chase you -- there are various random bonuses that appear in the level to spice up gameplay. Additionally, you can speed up by pressing the Ctrl key to run away from the ghosts or catch them when they are powerless. But watch the meter in the top right corner as the fuel is limited. The game is set to run at Crazy speed by default, which is quite fast, so you might want to switch to Normal by pressing the S key in the main menu. The registered version includes a level editor and allows to play custom levels.
Description by MrFlibble
This is a liberated game: originally it was sold as shareware but in 2007 the full version was made available for free by the developers. For best music and sound quality, use Gravis Ultrasound emulation in DOSBox. There is a native Windows version, and an open source remake of Greedy (please see the links section below).
