Z - F I L E S v2.5
compiled by zenith nadir
toolkits created by a cast of thousands! well, tens maybe
genre: utility, toolkits
so, here it is, z-files v2.5. some would argue that this was an exercise in obsolesence, what with that damned kevedit spoiling the fun and all, but i feel there's still a place in the world for these things. even if they are a bit pointless now, i personally find them fascinating, and i know there's a few others out there who feel the same. contained within these three files (there should be three, if you've downloaded this from someplace and there's only one or two SEND IT BACK Y'ALL) are no fewer than 103 boards amounting to 95 complete toolkits, each holding a disgusting amount of crap you can use in your zzt game if you choose.
there's a whole mess of new toolkits in this version (19, i believe, but i may have miscounted), and some of them are real doozies; i'd in particular like to draw your attention to two toolkits i found by robovine (the creator of uddie blade 1), "viney80x" and "vin3y $hades toolbo><", kjorteo's "kjkit", and "3D vFINAL" by micr0wave. those are particularly hardcore awesome. actually i think all the kits i added are pretty darn good, except maybe ~insane mooseka's "tripping color kit: halo 9 my scars from cutting are fading x.x edition".
for everything else, i've updated the versions (viovis' "dude scott this is josh", for example, hath been updated to v3.0, yea and verily) or fixed most of the self-deleted info scrolls (oof's "SIMBA SEZ ROAR" and wayward's "wtog" were primary offenders here). nothing has been removed from the previous version, although i took out those obnoxious comments bitching about people putting too many objects in their kits that i'd plastered everywhere in that. (i still hate it when people do that though, for the record :ssj:)
of course, my own "paranoid machinations", now redubbed simply "paramach" is here, and it's even better than the one that was included with chickenwire v2. now the blinking solids aren't confusing anymore! joy and rapture
while this file is primarily intended for use on z2 (zzt.belsambar.net), i actively encourage anyone who wants to to upload this to their own webspace, on one condition; you MUST include all the files in this zip, including the one you're reading now. to wit:
Z-FILES1.ZZT
Z-FILES2.ZZT
Z-FILES3.ZZT
zeeorzedfiles.txt
if you do not comply to this condition, well i'll do nothing, but your mean :(
and, of course, you can use this game as a base for your own. that's kind of the whole point.
want to drop me a line? e-mail me at napalmlachatte@gmail.com and i might not make fun of you. but then again, maybe i will. it's worth the risk though, right?

fun stuff:
wait 30 seconds on the title screen of file 2 for a reference to a certain cult series of zzt games! qq
This section tracks other objects or external resources.
The external resources, such as tarballs or Git repositories, are then available as part of the object. Their files can be considered local to the object and usable in scripts or as part of a build process.
For resources that are only to be used as part of the build or runtime of the object, it is best to describe those local to those sections.
